Interdisciplinary Research Salon aims at promoting interdisciplinary research which solves global and social issues through collaborative research within Kyushu University. Through research matching activities, the Research Planning and Support Group provides support for large scale funding opportunities.
 
The Interdisciplinary Research Workshop held on October 16th focused on learning how to develop interdisciplinary and international collaborative research from an experience of Japan-US Collaborative Research.
“Adoption of IoT technologies to support Super-Aging Societies in US and Japan”. Professor Koji Okamura (Cyber Security Center) and Dr. Masa Higo(International Student Center) spoke on their experience in developing interdisciplinary and international collaboration and tips for successful projects. In the second part of the workshop, participants joined an exercise to create a virtual research project with team members.
